Nearly a decade ago, our paths first crossed while working together in the luxury real estate business in Fort Lauderdale. What began as mutual respect for one another's professionalism, character, and sense of humor eventually grew into a friendship. When life unexpectedly brought us both to the same place several years later, that friendship blossomed into something much deeper.
Over the past five years, we have shared countless adventures, explored much of the Caribbean together, and discovered that our happiest moments are often the simplest ones: cooking at home, spending time on the beach, exploring the islands, boating, enjoying friends, and spoiling our two senior furry family members.
Along the way, we discovered a shared dream of one day owning a home in the Virgin Islands and spending our retirement exploring the Caribbean under sail. The islands have become much more than a favorite vacation destination. They represent the life we hope to build together, one filled with adventure, simplicity, meaningful friendships, and an appreciation for faith, family, and the incredible beauty of God's creation. We are currently in the process of purchasing a home on St. John, which we hope will become the starting point for many years of sailing, exploring, and creating unforgettable memories together.
Of all the places we have visited, St. Barths has always held a special place in our hearts. Each visit has drawn us back not only because of its extraordinary beauty, but because of its welcoming people, relaxed pace of life, and wonderful sense of community. During our last visit, we attended services at the Anglican Church, where we met Philip, Daniel, and members of the congregation. Their kindness and hospitality made a lasting impression and affirmed our decision to begin our married life in this very special place.
As we prepare for retirement, our priorities have naturally evolved. After years devoted to building careers and businesses, we now look forward to a life centered less on achievement and more on experiences, relationships, generosity, and faith.
Julie was born in the United Kingdom, and Bob is a Florida native. Although our backgrounds are different, we quickly discovered that we share the same values, the same curiosity about the world, and the same vision for the future.
While we do not have close family members to celebrate this day with us, we have been blessed with an extraordinary group of friends who have become our chosen family. Having them witness our marriage means more to us than words can express.
Perhaps the greatest blessing of all is that we found one another later in life. By then, we both understood what truly matters: kindness, laughter, trust, unwavering support, shared dreams, and gratitude for every day together. We know how rare it is to find someone who is your best friend, favorite travel companion, and partner in every sense of the word. We feel incredibly fortunate that our paths crossed when they did.
As we exchange our vows in St. Barths, we are not only celebrating our wedding day but also the beginning of a new adventure. We look forward to building our home in the Virgin Islands, exploring the Caribbean together under sail, growing in faith, and creating a lifetime of memories with the people we love most.
Thank you for being part of our story and for celebrating this unforgettable day with us.
